Your Donation Could Help Pay For

WAAPO runs the only safe house in Somaliland for GBV survivors, offering them a safe and secure place with comprehensive services, including medical care, psychosocial support, and legal aid.

By providing life skills education, business training, and startup grants, we support survivors of GBV in building sustainable livelihoods.

We operate Child-Friendly Centers and Community Protection Desks that provide case management, family reunification, and community-based protection mechanisms to ensure that children are safe from abuse, family separation, and child protection risks.

Our innovative programs engage Community Leaders from various community groups, elders, youth, women’s groups, service providers, and more to foster dialogue, promote social change, and prevent violence and community ownership.

WAAPO collaborates with legal experts, paralegals, and service providers to ensure survivors of rape and other forms of GBV have access to quality legal. We also run awareness campaigns to empower women and raise awareness about their legal rights.
